  If you're looking for breakfast come early enough for the American Buffet. We tried the brunch menu too, but the buffet (that closes at 10:30AM) was better. The buffet was good for a hotel, but not better than some other Hyatts I've been to.
  
  The service was good.

  OH heck yes! This is the breakfast spot.
  
  Park Hyatt is beautiful, especially during the holidays. California Bistro is the best place to dine for a relaxing brunch with a taste of upscale flavor.
  
  The buffet is the way to do it, and $28 on weekdays is an excellent value. Their spread has everything and more - every delicious breakfast bread, egg combo, exotic fruit, even chia pudding and house-made vanilla bean yogurt (it's fantastic!) The food is exceptional, and the bottomless fresh-squeezed juices are just divine.
  
  Keep in mind that the weekday brunch spread does not include eggs benedict, however our fabulous server was able to snag us a complimentary order. Either way, a full breakfast menu is also available, in case you are interested in à la carte dining.
  
  While the ambiance is peaceful and the service is excellent, the actual style of the dining room feels a bit outdated. Something about the royal blue is old-fashioned rather than classic, especially considering the impressive decor throughout the Park Hyatt.
  
  Unfortunately no ocean-views in California Bistro, however moseying the hotel grounds pre- or post-meal is a fabulous way to indulge in Hyatt's lovely location.

  Sat down here last Sunday for breakfast and opted for the buffet - $32; it's usually the best deal here since most breakfast plates cost north of $22 without drinks. What's great about the California Bistro is the ambience and welcoming, friendly staff.
  
  The buffet has an assortment of cold items from pastries, meats and cheeses, and a fresh fruit and yogurt bar where you can craft for own parfaits. The main stage is the made to order omelette bar and other hot items like roasted potatoes and sticky buns.
  
  Be sure to check out this place and the rest of the Park Hyatt hotel during the holidays; they really deck it all out with the Christmas decorations!
  
  I'll be sure to check back in here each year for this experience.

  What an awesome breakfast buffet they have here daily, the food quality is five stars as it is made in the same kitchen at Vivache.  I am a huge fan of their eggs Benedict, will be back soon.

  The food is great. The service is mediocre. The staff needs retraining on verbal context. This place needs a few secret shoppers to come through.

  My response recommendation: I'm sorry sir, would you like me to see if the coffee is ready or if I can top off your cup?

  Server: I'll be over there in a minute.
  My response recommendation: I'll be right over sir, is there anything else I can bring you to drink?
